I specialise in children’s health at all ages - from newborns to adolescents.  I am passionate about helping families work through difficult times and with concerns that range from common questions to managing and coordinating complex and chronic conditions.  I aim to liaise closely with other paediatric services, sub-specialists and other health professionals to foster a team approach in his care for my patients.  I place a priority on communication with parents and encourage active involvement by my older patients during consultations.

I conduct a busy private practice in association with Prosper Paediatrics and also work, from time to time, on the staff of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.

My special interests include:

  • Developmental and behavioural concerns at all ages, including challenging behaviours, developmental delay and disability, anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, learning difficulties, hearing loss and language difficulties. I have served as head of department of the Hearing Support Service at Sydney Children’s Hospital and conducted research into the diagnostic process for Autism Spectrum Disorder at the Developmental Assessment Unit of Sydney Children’s Hospital.

  • Detailed assessment, advice and monitoring of medical conditions, including asthma, constipation, eczema, sleep disorders, headache, allergy, frequent infections, etc.

  • Chronic & complex care, ensuring coordinated care, between multiple health professionals including GPs, other specialists, and allied health professionals.

I have engaged Service Provider, Prosper Paediatrics to provide and manage the administrative services and consulting facilities I need to help me provide the best clinical care I can.

Prosper Paediatrics provides reception services to my practice. Please contact them about bookings and any other matters. It, through its staff, systems and procedures, will reliably and promptly ensure I am kept informed, see any requests, questions, letters and reports. They take care of the administrative side of things so I am able to concentrate on clinical care.

Prosper Paediatrics and their reception staff prioritise the responsive, sensitive care I want from them for my patients. The company and its staff are experts in private paediatric practice administration, including all relevant aspects of Medicare, NDIS, private health, billing, rebates and all the other aspects of paediatric specialist care for young people

I graduated from the University of New South Wales, with Honours, in 2003 and trained further in the Sydney Children's Hospital Network. I have been a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians since 2014.  I was a Consultant VMO (Visiting Medical Officer) in the neonatal and maternity units of St. George Private Hospital and Hurstville Private Hospital and had a busy practice in Kogarah, Sydney, NSW until the end of April 2021 when I relocated with my family to Adelaide. I am very much a hands-on father of two busy young children and our family’s gentle cat, ‘Flippy’. We aim together to prioritise ensuring our family maintains the right balance in relation to our professional lives.
