Adelaide Hills Library Sensory Storytime

The Adelaide Hills Library Service runs Sensory Storytime each Thursday from 10:30am-11:30am at Coventry Library in Stirling in 2018. 

Sessions include:

  • Interaction through songs

  • Stories

  • Puppets

  • Music

  • MAKATON keyword signing

  • Built-in playtime

Sensory Storytimes are sensitive to:

  • Delayed motor skill decelopment

  • Freedom of movement

  • Less sitting, more action

  • Visual schedules or storyboards

  • Deliberate sensory input

  • Loud noise & crowd issues

  • Allergies (no food rule)
