Director, Sound Bites Speech & Feeding

Alison Spurr is an accredited Speech Pathologist with experience in both health and educational settings. She offers assessment and treatment for a range of speech and language difficulties or delays, including those associated with craniofacial problems, and developmental problems such as Autism spectrum disorder. Alison is an approved Hanen provider.

Alison is experienced in working with feeding issues in children and is training in Sensory Oral Sequential Feeding Techniques.

Alison uses evidence based approaches to encourage and motivate children in their difficulties. She has a warm and approachable manner connecting well with children of all ages and their families.

Alison is a longstanding member of Speech Pathology Australia. She is an experienced Speech Pathologist and has worked in the Craniofacial Unit and Allied Health Department of the Adelaide Women's and Children’s Hospital and the Education Department. She is a senior Speech Pathologist at Flinders Medical Centre where she has also worked in Clinical Education for nearly 10 years. She currently lectures in the areas of Cleft Palate and Lip Palate in the Masters, Undergraduate and Audiology programs at Flinders. She conducts her private practice, Sound Bites Speech and Feeding at Aberfoyle Park and at Paediatrics at Burnside in Toorak Gardens. Alison mostly sees children in her rooms but can occasionally offer visits away from these to homes, kindergartens, childcare centres or schools. Her Sound Bites team includes Brianna Musolino, who can provide home, school and kindy sessions on a more regular basis or as a complement to Alison’s in-rooms work.
